Why Tim Tebow is like Inbound Marketing

tim tebow is like inbound marketingWith all the Tebow-mania going on, I thought it would be appropriate to talk about why Tim Tebow is similar to inbound marketing practices (Get Found, Convert, Analyze):

  • (Get Found) Tim Tebow pulls people in.  He’s stormed the NFL scene, established his own unique following by putting himself out there and not being afraid of telling people what he believes in.  He was even dubbed the most popular athlete in America in a recent poll.  Inbound marketing is all about pulling people in to your website by creating unique content and valuable content.  Tebow has created a lot of valuable content already! (unbelievable comebacks in the 4th quarter and overtime).
  • (Convert) Tebow converts a lot of people that read about him and watch him into fans.  He continues to provide value to people (being a good person, expressing his faith…oh yeah…and winning!).  In inbound marketing, once you have people close to you (on your website), you want to convert them into leads…or in Tebow’s case…fans.
  • (Analyze) Tim Tebow analyzes all his games with his coaching staff.  He continues to improve and work hard to discover what can be done better and what isn’t working at all.  In inbound marketing, we’re always trying to figure out what’s working and what’s not.  It’s important to analyze our efforts, so that we can increase traffic, leads and customers that we receive through our websites.

And with only one more day to prepare, all the Broncos fans are hoping that Tebow and the coaches are analyzing the heck out of that last Patriots/Broncos game a few weeks ago to figure out what we can do to win on Saturday.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming game?
