4 Questions to Ask Your Direct Marketing Company

Direct Marketing CompanyThere are numerous direct marketing companies out there.  All you have to do is go to the web and type in “direct marketing company” and you will see dozens throughout the first few pages.  So, how do you choose the best one?  You probably don’t have time to sit down with 5 to 10 companies and listen to them tell you why their company is good at this or that.  In order to decide which direct marketing company is the best, we need to establish some criteria.  Consider the following when looking at a direct marketing agency:

1. A direct marketing company should “eat their own dog food”.  Is your marketing company using the same methods to acquire new customers for themselves?  Granted, not all businesses are the same, so some of the tactics involved may be different.  But as a general rule, they should be practicing what they preach.

2. Does your direct marketing agency start with strategy?  Every marketing campaign should have a strategy and a purpose.   Direct marketing should be targeted and effective.  It can only be effective if all the necessary planning has been done beforehand.

3. Do they offer proof of past success?  Do they have case studies for their current or past clients?  Do they have any video testimonials from customers that are extremely happy?

4. Is your marketing company generating quality leads for you?  Are these leads turning into customers?
