Take Your Show on the Road (From the Comfort of Your Conference Room)

webinarWhen you think about adding online content to your website, it’s easy to stop at written content: Blogs, Twitter posts, white papers and special reports, etc. All of those things are great, but sometimes it’s good to go for something a little more dynamic—particularly when there’s just too much good content to put into a short post or a modest downloadable report. What you really want in those instances is a face-to-to face meeting or maybe even a seminar. But it’s increasingly difficult to get people to break away from work for several hours to attend a seminar—even if it’s local.

There’s a pretty painless solution! If you want to offer clients and prospects a more in-depth array of information—in a personal, face-to-face way, from the comfort of you own conference room—the Web has an alternative: a webinar! You can take your show on the road from the comfort of your conference room. And your clients and prospects can participate without having to leave their offices.

Webinars, or on-line seminars, are a great way to pull together a presentation of helpful information that allows for direct audience interaction. You can build your presentation in a common format such as PowerPoint® and present it live on screen. Services such as GoToMeeting enable you to host an online event with your content online while you speak via phone. And you can set it up so that participants can submit questions and comments via text. And you can record the presentation.

That’s a huge plus, because it leaves you with great content that you can post on your website. Even if you have a fairly small number of participants for your webinar, clients and prospects who weren’t able to participate live can still go to your site and watch the presentation when it’s convenient for them. And you can link back to this material at any time in the future.

To give you an idea of what this might look like, we invite you to check out some of the webinars we’ve done and posted for future use.

You don’t have to restrict yourself to webinars, either. You can also post white papers, case studies, podcasts, and PowerPoint presentations. And the great thing about this content is that people can access it anywhere they are and at any time they want to do so.

You really can “take your show on the road” without ever leaving home!
